Let's get to the picks..........
Big Ten Big Games of the week
We have 2 of them:
California at Minnesota: Both teams are 2-0 and California makes the long trip to the brand new "Bank". Did everyone get a toaster that entered the stadium last Saturday? The Golden Gophers are getting 14 points at home. That seems a lot mostly if Cal has jet lag. Cal is can be an elite team, Minnesota just isn't at this point. CAL 28 Minn 20
MSU at ND: This is the "oops" bowl. MSU lost to a fired up CMU "Chips" team on Saturday and ND left the Big House scratching their heads on what happened and blaming the Refs. Yes, the Big Ten Refs read the Internet and watch ESPN too. So "good time" Charlie might not like a few more calls this week. ND is the better team but MSU has some weird mojo over the Fighting Irish and mostly in South Bend. ND is -10 at home and is the better team. Charlie likes his job and Zingerman's in Ann Arbor: ND 32 MSU 24
The rest of the conference........................
Temple at PSU: PSU -30 Enough said. JoPa 42 Temple 6 (nice non-conference schedule)
Wofford at Wisconsin: WOW, Wonderful, WWI, WWII, Wreally? What no Wline? Wisc 31 Wofford 3 : Wisconsin gets the W.
OSU at Toledo in Cleveland: Don't sleep on the Rockets! I watched that Friday night game last week where they ran all over Colorado. OSU could still be asleep at the wheel from last weeks loss to USC. I hesitate to call an upset here but I really could see one happening. Listen to me closely, The Buckeyes will not want to get behind during this game. Don't get behind! Toledo is getting 20.5 (take the points!). Pryor 24 Toledo 17
IU at Akron: Is that correct? IU is on the road at a MAC team? Strange times. Anyway IU won last week when I thought they were over matched by WMU. Now they are on the road and are a 4.5 point dog. I sold IU down the river last week, I think they can win this one. IU 10 Akron 6
Northwestern at Syracuse: Did Syracuse get into the Big 10 when I wasn't looking? I know Greg Paulus all most did. Syracuse is due a win and I think it will come this week. Vegas does as well and made them a 3 point favorite in this one. Syracuse 20 NW 17
Northern Ill. at Purdue: Purdue has gone to more of a heavy run attack now that Tiller is gone. They have played pretty well this year and are a favored by all most (13) 2 TD's in this one. Purdue 34 North Ill 10
Arizona at Iowa: I'm just not sold on Iowa, after that Northern Iowa blocked field goal thing. They beat Iowa State last week and now host the University of Arizona (which I didn't know was in the state of Iowa?). Arizona plays defense and is a 5 point favorite. I don't expect there to be a ton of points scored in this one. AZ 17 Iowa 9
Juice and Zook have a much needed week off.
The Michigan preview will of course be on Friday.
Enjoy a good ACC battle tonight on ESPN!
