OUT
CB Zac Johnson, shoulder
PROBABLE (75 percent chance of playing)
RB Carlos Brown, concussion
RB Brandon Minor, ankle
C David Molk, foot
Minor which wasn't on this list last week and didn't play against DSU is on this week. His ankle must be really bothering him and even limiting his practice time. Michigan will need Minor on Saturday if the are going to beat the Nittnay Lions. He ran for 117 yards and two touchdowns in Happy Valley last year.
Game Captains are: running back Carlos Brown, linebacker Stevie Brown, punter Zoltan Mesko and guard David Moosman.
- Lloyd Carr told Ann Arbor.com that he is not a candidate for the AD position at Michigan.
- Sam Webb in the Detroit News talks about a package deal for two recruits from Florida. Defensive back Tony Grimes and Defensive end Clarence Murphy.
- The Daily Gopher gives a very good update on the Seantrel Henderson sweepstakes: There are rumors that Seantrel will take a visit this weekend to Michigan. It is unclear if this will actually happen or not and it is unclear if this will be an official or not. I do think Michigan ranks ahead of Oklahoma and Florida at this point and I fully expect Rich Rod will put on a full court press up until signing day. Watch for Michigan to get all kinds of rumors leading up to signing day, but in the end I think the team with the most talk around is the team that will lose the sweepstakes.
Something to ponder tonight: Which is the best team in the State of Michigan: U of M?, MSU? or Central Michigan? Someone can lay stake to that claim this weekend with a big win. I guess there isn't much debate on which team is #1 in Ohio. When was the last time Ohio State played second fiddle to Cincinnati? Maybe never.
