Josh Furman announced a few minutes ago at the Crab Bowl that he will be a Wolverine next year. Josh is rated a 3 star athlete by Rivals and ESPN and 4 stars to Scouts. Michigan has plans for him as an outside linebacker. Here is part of ESPN's evaluation: Furman is a big, rangy and physical football player with good vertical speed for such a lengthy athlete. Tall and physically intimidating as an outside linebacker. This guy is a real threat rushing from the outside. Has enough quickness to accelerate by an offensive tackle and drop back in coverage.
Josh has a great frame at 6"3 and 200 pounds and has a 40 time at 4.37. I'm sure the Michigan coaches will look for him to add on some weight and spend some time with Barwis. Here is what Josh had to say about Barwis: "It blew me away, it blew my dad away, it blew all of us away," Furman said after his Michigan official visit. "Usually I don't pay attention to that when I visit colleges because you are going to get the weights, but the things he has his players doing, I've never seen that on any of the visits I've had."
Josh picked Michigan over Virgina Tech but had an impressive offer list from schools like; North Carolina, Oklahoma, WVU, Miami, Purdue, Maryland, and others.
