Michigan Thursday: Recruiting Blitz

The Michigan coaching staff is on the road for what is considered a 4-6 week Spring evaluation period. Look for a number of Michigan offers to increase this month as are kids visited in their high schools.

Some visits already completed include: WR DeAnthony Arnett, RB Justice Hayes and LB Trey DePreist.

  • Roy Roundtree is helping recruit WR AJ Jordan from his former high school Trotwood-Madison in Ohio. AJ now has an offer from Michigan.

  • TomVH at Mgoblog continues his strong recruiting position updates. Today is the Defensive Line.

  • Sam Webb reports on a 2011 QB Cardale Jones who plays in "The Vests" backyard at Cleveland - Glenville. Both Michigan and MSU have offered Cardale.

  • Both Detroit News papers have seen subscriptions go way down. The Detroit News has seen a 24% up tick in their on-line version. The other paper (yes, the one that threw RR and the Michigan program under the bus) is down 13% in subscriptions and the web visitors are only up 2.2 %. I guess it doesn't sell more newspapers when they attack the local University. Oops! (HT: Mgoblog)

  • The Wolverine.com lists the things they have learned from Spring Ball. Tidbits include: most improved: JT Floyd and Big Will and freshman expected to contribute Cullen Christian and Josh Furman.
