Michigan Friday: Updates some Fluff on Recruits

As you can tell, Michigan has been recruiting the class of 2013 for close to a year now.   Last weekend was not fluke, they were recruiting those guys for a long time and last weekends commitment rush was the high point of those recruitment's. 

Here are some stories on guys Michigan is recruiting to fill out this class:

•  E.J. Levenberry is one of the top LB's in the country:  "He had an opportunity to go up there with his family, and they visited campus and everything," C.D. Hylton coach Tony Lilly said. "He was really excited about it when he came back, and he had a lot of positive things to say about the campus. He has some really strong feelings about the defensive staff, as well as Coach [Brady] Hoke, and the sincerity he feels from them. That's where he's at right now.
  
  "There are some schools at the top of his list. Michigan is certainly one of them. At this time, right now, he seems extremely impressed by the process and the communication that takes place with them. From everything I've gathered, he's very excited about Michigan."

• As I mentioned this week, Illinois has some top prospects in the Midwest this year.   Here is another:  Colin McGovern.  "Michigan pretty much has all those qualities," he said. "Great education, great football program. So they would definitely be high on my list, I just don't know exactly where I would rank them. I'm not exactly sure where I would rank the schools that are coming after me because I grew up strictly an NFL fan. So going into the recruiting process, I don't really have a favorite school that I've loved my whole life".  Colin knows Michigan has one OL spot left and he is visiting Ann Arbor on 3/10.

• Zack Novak is a academic All American.  Congrats Zack!
