Could this happen?
You have played one year of high school varsity football and after your junior year you have offers from the likes of: Florida, Florida State, BC, Michigan, WVU, Miami, MSU, Tennessee and Rutgers.
Not likely, but it did happen to Juwann Bushell-Beatty who is ranked as a 3 star offense lineman to Rivals and Scouts and 4 stars to ESPN and 24/7. I think it has something to do with him being 6'7 and 300 pounds (other sites have him 6'5). JBB is Michigan's 8th verbal commit to the 2014 recruiting class.
"The coaches were great," he said. "I met Coach Hoke and he was a very down to earth guy and he was very honest and will keep it really straight with the players, which I really liked. I got to talk to Coach Funk too. I met a few of the players and liked them. We were there for practice and I liked the way they were so intense and the way they hit. That's something I'm looking for."
As you might expect, the feedback on JBB is he is "raw" but has a huge upside. He could play Guard or Tackle at Michigan. Being 6'7 Tackle would be idea if he learns his craft at Michigan. With the depth on the offensive line a redshirt is guaranteed as he learns to be a D1 offensive lineman.
Did I mention JBB plays for Paramus (NJ) Catholic and is teammates with 5 star DB and #2 player in the nation Jabrill Peppers? Jabrill is very high on the Wolverines and plans to visit Stanford before making a decision. There were reports Jabrill was considering making a quicker decision (before July) this weekend but he really wants to see Stanford. IMO he should take that trip so he doesn't have any doubts.
