With kids enrolling early, we pretty much need to know where they are going to school next year. So a number of announcements are being scheduled. Look at this string of announcements that effect the Wolverines 2017 class:
4 star Tarik Black: Wednesday
5 star Donovan People-Jones: Thursday Night
5 star Isaiah Wilson: Friday Afternoon
4 star Cesar Ruiz: Sunday
I guess they wanted to take Saturday off. This could be a great week for Michigan recruiting!!
- Get ready for Jim Harbaugh to LA Rams rumors after they fired Jeff Fisher yesterday. I don't expect coach to go anywhere.
- Peppers and Lewis made the All American team
- Michigan visited OL Chuck Filiaga last week before he headed off to Nebraska for an official visit. He is planning to announce this month as well.
- DT Rutger Reitmaier is sticking with Oregon. With Jimmy being close friends with Willie Taggart (new head coach), I had a feeling this might happen.
- OL Alex Leatherwood is sticking with Alabama. Would have loved to seen him in the maize and blue, but you can't knock a kid for making that decision.
- TJ Slaton is taking the SAT this month, if he gets a qualifying score he will be able to take official visits in January. TJ has always liked Michigan and I expect he will visit if possible.
- I didn't know coach Wheat had another son that was playing football. Terius Wheatley is a 5'11 athlete and played at Pioneer. He committed to his only Major 5 offer - Virginia Tech. Talk about a program on the rise!
- DE Robert Porcher has de-committed from Nebraska. He did visit A2 but I don't expect Michigan to be in the mix at this point.
- Lane Kiffin will be the head coach for FAU. Wow, there are a lot of big name coaches in the State of Florida now. Butch Jones took a job at one of the Florida schools and Charlie Strong is now at South Florida. Does Lane leaving effect the recruitment of Najee Harris?

O'Maury Samuels visited AZ and is looking at as a potential decommit.... I sure as hell hope this is because Harris is about to flip!
Ruiz has changed his announcement to Monday.
All this recruiting news is very exciting, keeps your mind off of the regular football season ending, and still have a fine bowl game left.
Like the presentation of this blog, easy reading and there in your face, plus....I am too lazy to research for a couple hours myself.
I heard that Samuels has some work to do on his ACT score. Which he is re-taking this month. So that might be the reason for cancelling the visit last weekend.
