Michigan Thursday: Has Football and Basketball Roster Updates

I'm not a huge fan of updating the world when a player changes his number or adds 5 pounds, but I guess there are some people that is interested in that information.

The Basketball Program has released its roster this year and has new numbers and weights for each player.

The freshman and transfers for the football team have new numbers.

So if your into these things, here are the links to check them out.  Patterson will be wearing #2, which we already knew! :-)

  • Ben Bredeson was named to the Outland Trophy Watch List

  • Michigan landed a crystal ball for 5 star safety Dax Hill.   Still a long shot.

  • Nordin named to Groza Award Watch List

  • The USA Today takes Urban to the woodshed.  I wondered when the "Florida" Urban Meyer would start poking his head out.   This might be the first sign.

clearly Oliver Martin will no longer be #2 if he's going to get playing time this year with Patterson also wearing #2

Hi there,

I was shopping around for a new Michigan football blog to follow after growing weary of the decline at MGoBlog. I didn’t get very far in this one before encountering the following deal-breakers (I’m literate, so things like this are difficult to gloss over):

“I'm not a huge fan of updating the world when a player changes his number or adds 5 pounds, but I guess there are some people that is interested in that information... So if your into these things, here are the links to check them out.”
(...some people that ARE interested, obviously, and “your” instead of “you’re” suggests that the writing is being done by middle school baseball players. Good for them, if that’s the case, but it’s not really fit for consumption by adults.)

So, kudos to you for assembling a loyal following despite these shortcomings, but I wonder if you’d be able to suggest a more literate Michigan football blog to follow. Thanks!
