Big Ten Weekend Preview Week 7

It's crystal clear which is the top Big Ten game of the week but that one will be previewed tomorrow. Which means we need to pick another game and there is really two match-ups that caught my eye.  MSU at PSU and Iowa visits Indiana.  I picked the desperate Spartans vs. desperate Nittany Lions.

MSU@ PSU (PSU -14):  Both teams are coming off a devastating loss where both coaches have come under fire.  Franklin called the worst 4th down call ever and Dantonio is questioning everything after a home loss to Northwestern.   Both teams are in need of a win and both teams will see Michigan soon.  PSU is the better team and will win a close game.  PSU 24 MSU 20

Iowa @ IU (Iowa -5):  This is one of those games where anything could happen.  Both teams are sneaky good this year and I'm very happy the Wolverines don't have to play Iowa this year and at least will host IU.   Iowa is the better team but IU is difficult to prepare for.   IU 31 Iowa 28

Minnesota @ OSU (-29.5):  With a nearly 30 point spread, not much to discuss.  OSU 48 Minnesota 21

Nebraska @ Northwestern (NW-3.5):  Poor Nebraska continues to run into good Big Ten teams.  Northwestern is playing well after a close loss to Michigan and an upset over MSU.   Nebraska is not playing well and will get another historic L this weekend.   Northwestern 27 Nebraska 21

Rutgers @ Maryland (MD -25.5):  Please don't watch this game.  Maryland 41 Rutgers 18

Purdue @ Illinois (PUR -10.5):  I think this line is way too high.  Purdue was supposed to be pretty good this year but still has a losing record.  Illinois has looked better at times this year and had Penn State on the ropes before getting knocked out.   I like Lovey in this one.   Illinois 17 Purdue 14
