I believe Michigan got what they wanted defensively against Villanova but couldn't put the ball in the basket. They couldn't make bunnies to extend their season. Michigan was 12 for 29 on layups and dunks.
Michigan struggled from the free throw line and got the ball consistently inside but couldn't make the short ones. The lack of a true scorer hurt them in this game and in every loss this season.
I don't know who is leaving and who is staying but Michigan next year needs to find a way to score more points and shoot the 3. They overachieved in this tournament and should hold their heads high on the flight home tonight.

Fun season for the kids - I hope we see a lot of them return; as they have a great foundation. And another year together should (hopefully) lead to better consistency.
Congrats on another good year. Finishing in the Top 16 is nothing to sneeze at.
True Blue is Maize and Blue...I wanted them to win at least two games in the tournament for them to make a season...and they did that...Good job to Good boys...lets regroup and never get a point guard like Jones...he played bad all year and truly hurt Michigan...need a true point guard...I hope Franke makes a leap next year or JH needs to find a decent point guard in the transfer portal...and to Juwan Howard please, don't slap anyone ever again....I will be going to Dubai this weekend and I will be back in June...
