Michigan Tuesday: Gabe Calls It a Career

When the fall roster comes out, many people will start to comb through it looking for anomalies and missing players.   Maybe a true freshman didn't qualify or a guy isn't back for his 5th year?   This year Gabe Newburg was missing but was on the team in Spring Practice.

Gabe didn't get any snaps last year but in 2020 appeared in 4 games and had 3 tackles.  He also lost his dad in May.  It was confirmed by the program that Gabe has elected to medically retire and is no longer with the team.   We wish Gabe good luck and great health in his next chapter of life.

  • There are starting to be rumors that ESPN might be left out of the Big Ten contract race.  ESPN has had Big Ten Football for the last 40 years.   I'm ok with that, what I'm not ok with is CBS and NBC's college football coverage, which is pretty bad.   There can't be a Michigan game called by Gary Danielson!  ESPN this is what happens when you overpay for Joe "hair plugs" Buck, you don't have money for important games.  (I do like A2 resident, NBC's Mike Trico, but he is doing Sunday Night Football now and I don't expect he will cover college football)

Love seeing espn get the shaft! I'll take Buck or Danielson over The Cryer! I loathe seeing or hearing him anywhere near a UM game! He's human garbage and doesn't deserve to be near the game.
