Hawaii Preview

Hawaii
Time: 8:00 PM
Location: Big House
Weather: 75 - 22% of rain
TV: BTN (Byington - Butt)
Line: Michigan -52

Hawaii is not a good football team.  They used to be pretty good and it was worth the trip west, as Hawaii is just a wonderful state full of tropical islands and relaxation.  I have a memory of watching the A-Train running over the Rainbow Warriors in the rare regular season game after the Ohio State game.  I believe that game started at 10 or 11 EST at night.  Big fan of Hawaiian Islands and spending as much time there as you can afford.   Anyone up for funding a Big House Blog location in Kauai?

This team will spread Michigan's defense out in an offensive combination between the run-n-shoot and air raid.  They love to pass the ball and Michigan's DE's will be pinning their ears back to rush the QB taking snaps for Rainbow Warriors.  Don't be surprised if Hawaii gets a few yards with a surprise run or two.  Thier defense has no chance at stopping the Wolverines.  Michigan could run for 500 yards in this one if they want to.  I would rather see a better passing preformance from JJ and this talented crew of WR's.  Get Roman Wilson some special memories against his home town team.

Dear Jimmy,
You have the best team you've ever had in college at Michigan or Stanford right now.  You're running an unprecedented QB rotation and this new rotation clearly got to last year's starter this past Saturday.  JJ is clearly the better QB but has less experience and probably takes more risks.  I know that less experience and risk-taking concerns you but we need to move on from this ASAP.  Cade needs to understand that every program needs two very good QB's.  Michigan has lost many Ohio State games becuase their starter was hurt or banged up.

Now, you spent all camp telling us how this team was motivated and ready to play.  I saw that on defense but the offense started poorly and wasn't executing in the red zone.  The next two weeks could be let down games but I would really like to see better offensive execution, getting the WR's more involved in the offense.  You will be able to run over 80% of the teams on your schedule, we need to make sure we can pass to beat the next 20%.

The next two weeks, it will be a chore to get your team motivated to play two tomato cans but that's who is on your schedule.  Play back-ups, freshmen, and guys that want to play and keep the team mentally in the right spot.  Stay healthy and execute at a high level on both sides of the ball.

Michigan 68 Hawaii 6

I want to see more downfield passing. My son could throw a 5 yrd swing pass. Give me a classic Bo Schembechler 76-3 game and have the 3rd string in after halftime.

Hi Bob...I came back to from Dubai last week had been vary busy. This whole QB thing is getting out of control. I am ok with us making it to the playoffs with either of the two QBs. Winning a Naty is even better. I know Cade will get us there but, winning the whole thing I don't know about that. JJ on the other hand hasn't shown us that he can win the "big game" due to lack of experience. But, if our coach thinks other wise why not give him a shot. PhD boy where you at?

Both qb's, in their heart of hearts, knows who the best man is. If Harbaugh chooses correctly there will not be a problem. Maybe hard feelings but, they know...

My plan is to spend June through October in northern Michigan and November through May on Maui. Two beautiful places that lets me have the best of both worlds.

My plan is to be your house guest at each place...

So ND and TA&M both tight games so far. I'm really wanting some recruits to get squirrely with them and with Nike U.

8 mins in and it’s 154yds to 5.

Little embarrassing but I’ll take it. JJ is the man, full stop. You need emotion and fire… Cade (love him) isn’t that. You need a gun of an arm (sorry again Cade).

Is just me, or is the play calling in the first quarter (much) different than last week?

Goblu said...

Def some >10yd passes, but that's also what jj gives us.

...Frost doesn't last the season.

I just don't remember (too) many long-pass plays called last week.

And the pick by Cade is why

Now that we're in mop up time I guess we can safely say there's not much to talk about. Controversy over...
