Michigan just received a committed from 4-star Edge Jacob Smith this afternoon who's twin brother Jerod is also a Michigan commit. In a strange twist, Michigan now has 3 commits in this class with the first inital J and the last name Smith. Two are twins and of course Jayden Smith.
Jacob has been a silent commit since the end of June: "I committed to the team at the end of Jerod’s official visit," Smith said. "I talked to my parents about it the night before. I wouldn’t say it was a rush, but it was a load off my shoulders that I wouldn’t have to worry about it anymore."
Jacob is an edge that can also drop into coverage. It will be intresting to see how he fits into Michigan's defense in his career. ESPN is very high on this Smith and ranks Jacob in the top 100 as the 97th player in the country. Jacob has an impressive offer list from the likes of Alabama, Georgia, ND, PSU, Tenn, UK, Nebraska, USC, and many more. Playing in Ann Arbor, Pass Rush U, and playing with his brother won the day and he will become a Wolverine. Will be much easier for friends and family to watch both twins in one afternoon.
- Michigan is taking Corum, Sainristil, and Jenkins to Indy for Big Ten Media Days. Are these Michgian Captains for next season?
- Jett had 22 in the summer league last night. Castleton is also playing well and could make the Lakers roster.
