I get asked by many people what I think about Harbaugh and his extension to stay at Michigan. I don't have any inside information on what Jimmy is thinking, so here is my best guess at the situation.
- Jimmy has an internal conflict. He would like to win a Super Bowl like his brother but he also loves Michigan and takes a ton of pride in turning the program around.
- The money is important but not a deciding factor. He will make $11M a year at Michigan and probably something close in the NFL.
- He loves raising his family in Ann Arbor and living near his mother and father.
- Does he want to live in LA? Probably not. Does he want to work for Tepper? Probably not. Would he like to be the Raiders head coach? Maybe. Does he want to live in Vegas? Probably not.
- Would Jimmy have agreed to both suspensions this year if he was planning to head to the NFL?
- Does Jimmy's style still work in the NFL? It might not. He and his brother are very different coaches. Seems the trend is young coaches now.
- Former Michigan OC Josh Gattis (current Maryland OC) is in trouble again after an allegation from his time in Miami.
- Ok, this has to be some type of record as Michigan had another backup QB play for a D1 school this season last night. 4 former Wolverine QB's played for other teams!
- Joe Milton, Tennessee
- Alan Bowman, OK State
- Cade McNamara, Iowa
- Dan Villari, Syracuse (played last night)
- Looks like FSU has had enough of the ACC.

Bob is spot on with his summarization of Jimmy's contract extension. I don't believe the NFL is as big of a draw as the (know nothing) national media hypes it to be. Jimmy's been there, done that. Jimmy thrives off of competition and challenges, and right now he's got it coming at him from all angles- jealous coaches, bought and paid for B1G Commissioners, butt hurt NCAA officials, SEC alligned ESPN, weird and demented Paul Finebaum, and all of UM's traditional rivals. That should be enough to keep the fire lit under Jimmy and continue his reign of dominance here at Michigan.
After seeing all those former UM quarterbacks starting and staring on their new teams, it makes you shake your head at Donte Moore and his continued poor decision making. This time to transfer to Oregon, who already landed its new starting QB from the portal in Dillon Gabriel. The most important factor in being a good QB isn't having the strongest arm or fastest feet, it's having the intelligence of a Tom Brady. Donte clearly doesn't have that.
Santa's Naughty & Nice List:
NICE: UM players and coaches, Pres Ono
NAUGHTY: B10 (Pe-Titti), NCAA, Stallions, ESPN (exception of Desmond), FineBum (yes he's espn but deserves double naughty), Day (where's Lou!), Urban...cuz he's just an overall piece of trash, Weiss, B10 coaches (the ones who cowardly and anonymously threw darts at UM), and all-things Sparty (but maybe they can turn things and get off the list next year). Hopefully Santa gets a bad plate of enchiladas and drops his results in the naughty one's stockings. Merry Christmas
Rudy- That's a pretty good list! I'd add 97.1 radio to the naughty list. Those guys (most butt hurt MSU alum) still won't say anything positive about Michigan, despite UM winning 3 B1G Championships in a row and going for a National Title.
Merry Christmas everyone! (Except Ohio St, Alabama, and Michigan State fans. Fuck those guys.)
Yost - Crisler - Schembechler - Harbaugh.
Mark my word: Jim Harbaugh will become Michigan's winningest coach and a legend for the ages.
