Michigan had a good weekend in their non-revenue generating sports. Yes, we focus on Michigan Football here but sometimes it's nice to give other sports some love.
This weekend:
- Michigan Softball wins the Big Ten Tournament and will participate in Stillwater Region in the NCAA Tournament.
- Michigan Women's Tennis has a 21 match winning streak and advances to the NCAA Quarterfinals.
- Michigan Women's Lacrosse reaches the NCAA Quarters for the first time in its history.
Congratulations to all 3 teams!
- Michigan was recruiting Texas CB Terrance Brooks out of the portal and he was expected to visit this week but committed to Illinois over the weekend.
- Michigan Basketball has hired Furman's S&C guy Matt Aldred

Michigan is losing some weird committment battles... IL and KY??
Goblue- I was going to say the same thing. We should not be losing recruits to these garbage programs.
KY's NIL is paying out big time. It's almost like they decided their basketball program is hopeless and they are turning to the football program. as far as Illinois, that's a head scratcher
Congrats to the three women's teams .... they are seriously kicking major booty!!
I'm waiting for our NIL program to kick it up a notch. I know Ohio St has a car dealership that 'donates' over 50 cars a year to the football program. I don't think Warde's free ice cream is working.
There is a popular saying in the business world that applies to Michigan's NIL stance. 'Adapt or die'. Until the NIL rules change, we need to get with the times.
Btw, Michigan football is currently 38th nationally in recruiting.
Brady: where do they go for the free ice cream Washtenaw dairy? 😆
