Andrew Olesh is one of the top TE's in the 2025 class. He is 6'5 and 215 pounds. 24/7 composite has him ranked as a solid 4-star , #3 TE in the country, and the 59th player overall. He has been committed to Michigan since 6/21.
That commitment did not stop other schools from recruiting Andrew. Oregon, ND, and, PSU have all made a compelling case to him and today he makes his final decision, signs his paperwork and that is a wrap to the Early Signing Period. Fingers crossed that he wants to be the next Jake Butt or Colston Loveland. Hell, even Schoonmaker and Barner are starting for the Cowboys and Seahawks now. 😀
I believe the ceremony at his high school in PA is at 3:00.
Michigan will continue to lose some players to the portal, it's just the way of life for kids these days. The one that stings right now is Tyler Morris. Tyler made a hell of catch and run against Alabama and Michigan would not have won the Rose Bowl without that play. I do get it though, Michigan could not get the ball to its WR's this year at all.
Update: Punter Tommy Doman is in the portal. Tommy also does kickoffs. Cole Cabana is now in the portal as well. Injuries and not being able to see the field were his issues in A2.
- Rumors are Michigan vs. Florida in the former Outback Bowl in Tampa. Is there a contractually mandated agreement that Michigan and Florida will play in a Bowl game every 5 years? If UF is not available insert South Carolina.
- Dan "Fing" Campbell. Giving up an easy TD by going for it on his own 30 and then going for it on 4th on 1 and not kicking the field goal with 43 second left takes some serious "ONIONS!".
- Please raise your hand if you ever thought the Detroit Lions would win 11 NFL Football Games in a row!
- Don't forget we have 3 Championship Games on Tonight. Including one with RR. Must see TV! Jeanty also has the stage to himself on making his case for the Heisman.
- I think the new playoffs system should be called the James Franklin invitational. Any predictions for Saturday? I think the Ducks roll them like 41 - 14 and the Nittany Lions still get in. Did you see the get in price for tickets on StubHub are $12 for the Big Ten Championship? The Michigan Difference. PSU gets in by playing nobody and getting beat handily by OSU in Happy Valley. IU gets in by playing an even weaker schedule and getting embarrassed by OSU in CBus. ND gets in by losing to a bad MAC team at home and beating the two Military Academies. I did not expect such a low bar in year 1 of the 12 team playoff.
- The ratings for Michigan - OSU were not as high as I expected just over 12M viewers.
- Belichick interviews for the UNC job. What is the deal with that program liking coaches at the end of their careers?
- Iowa visits Crisler on Saturday 2:00 for Dusty's first game Big Ten game at home. FS1

Sorry I don't see Tyler Morris as some great big loss. He made a play in the CFP semi finals. "A play!" He was able to make that play because Bama had to account for Roman Wilson and Cornelius Johnson. He's a #3 or #4 WR, he's not elite, he's not a go to WR.
Great news! Offensive Coordinator Josh Gattis is available! (j.k.) 🤣
Chowman, I disagree out of all the receivers we have he is the best. 12 million viewers are you just being facetious aren't you?
Tonight at 8pm, Tulane and Joe Craddock will be taking on Army. I will be watching and scouting this game, specifically watching Tulane's play calling with Craddock. I better see plays more explosive than Viet Nam or my doubts about Craddock will be confirmed.
I believe we had a QB problem, not a receiver getting open problem. There were guys open.
And sadly, we never saw Michigan run that play to Morris again after that Rose Bowl. Smh We had an offensive coordinator problem, too. I can't blame the kid for transferring. It was a rough year for UM WRs. Hard to say how good he was because he didn't get a lot of throws.
What I do and DONT want to see-
1) Dont want 3rd and 10 and Craddock calls a draw play.
2) Dont want a QB not throwing in rythm with the WRs. If the QB is just standing in the pocket, looking around, then there is no timing. Jarrod Goff would look a full 2 seconds opposite where he wanted to throw, then turn blind and throw on the 3 count. Boom. Perfect timing.
3) I DO want Misdirection and play action. A little unpredictability. Throw on 1st down occasionally.
4) I do want Creativity. This is a Conference Championship, so pull out some trick plays. Show me what you got.
Warde is back for a 2nd term. (5 yrs actually). Idk what to make of this because I don't know what is actually going on behind the scenes. Too many rumors, half truths, and gossip out there. Games we can all see with our own too eyes, but only Warde knows what happened with Jimmy. NIL game has improved drastically and we have an exciting basketball coach. Erik Backach (baseball manager) got away, but again, I have no idea the reason for that.
Why is P Tommy Doman in the portal? Idk, but he is. Smh
Really? Saying Morris was the best out of Semaj Morgan, Kendrick Bell, and Peyton O'Leary is like saying being punched in the face is better than kicked in the nuts! If Tyler Morris was your best receiver, then that's a problem. This was the worst WR room I've ever seen at Michigan, might be worse since Michigan incorporated the forward pass.
Brady, it was a combo meal on offense. The only position that was good was TE. OL was subpar so the amount of time either of the QBs had to throw was minimal. So were the QBs bad, the OL bad, or all of the above. I personally didn't see a lot of separation from the WRs. In fact the opposition was able to double cover Loveland cause the receivers could be single covered. Play calling was horrid too and hopefully that is on its way to being corrected.
Not sure where you were going with the 12 million viewers comment. My suggestion, try waiting till afternoon to start your drinking!
There's a lot you can fault Warde on. Handling of Juwan, the handling of the hockey team scandal, Jeff Jackson, etc! But don't think you can blame him on either Harbaugh or Bakich leaving. Jim always had 1 foot out the door heading back to the NFL. It never sat well losing the Super Bowl to John. He's a uber competitive SoB and his brother having a SB ring and he doesn't gnaws at him, from what I've read!
As far as Bakich, he was a Clemson guy, and the SEC and ACC take baseball WAY more seriously than B1G schools. They allocate way more resources, plus is so much easier to play/practice in the south than in the North. Basically B1G teams have to go on a 3 month road trip to start the season. Michigan was never going to be able to pay Bakich what Clemson was. What you can find fault with Warde is he took about 10 minutes to conduct a baseball coach hiring search.
Maybe something to do with his consistency. Maybe the staff told him they were going to move on. I know he had a monster game against USC, but he also had quite a few clunker kicks.
Chowman- Try to watch some of that Tulane game tonight, I'd like to get your opinion on Craddock's play calling. I'm going into things with an open mind.
Chowman, yes I agree our receiving core was bad this year. But yes I stand by the fact that Morris was the best out of the group.. 12 million viewers was the second most watched college football game of the season. And considering that nobody thought we would win.. sounds like you already started drinking
Brady, you know what network is airing it? Time? I'll tune if I can for a while. I'd like to see his play calling. I just don't want Dan Mullen, so I hope Craddock is eye opening!
what does 12 million viewers have to do with Tyler Morris not being a good WR? Does winning a game that nobody expected us to win make Tyler Morris a better WR? I'm sure your post sound logical in your own head! I stand by my point: if Tyler Morris is your best WR, your WR room is ass!
No QB plays and passing game will make any Michigan receivers hit the portal...
Why are same two guys writing so much?
Chowman never said the 12 million viewers has anything to do with the wide receivers or Morris I was talking about the comment on the blog.. had nothing to do with your comment
oh so my comment is facetious because 12 millions viewers watch "The Game"? I apologize about the drinking comment! STAY OFF THE WEEEEEEEEE-DAH.
We have more to say than you?
12 million viewers weren't as high as you expected? What were you expecting? Unless I say you're just joking 🤣
Olesh to Penn State
Must want to see first hand how bad a game coach James Franklin is! He'll probably transfer to Oregon after Franklin drops his drawers with some bonehead decisions in the B1G Championship game.
8pm, ABC
BlueMan (MichiganMan), if you don't like someone's posts, then just move on.
I watched the entire Tulane game last night with Joe Craddock calling plays. He is Kirk Campbell 2.0 Even worse. Draw left, draw right, draw on 3rd and 10. Passing game was nonexistent. Sound familiar? Hard pass on Craddock for UM O.C.
Franklin told Olesh, "I have other quality TEs that want to commit, but im holding off on them just for you. We won't make a decision on those guys until you decide. We will wait for you because your our guy." Poor Olesh bought it hook, line, and sinker. God Franklin is a duche.
That was an actual quote from Olesh, btw. I did not embellish anything.
you lasted longer than I did, but yeah I didn't see anything that stood out. And I had the same thought, the play calls looked very Michigan-esque. Tulane might of put up a bunch of stats offensively this year, but I didn't see anything from the play calling perspective that jumped out at me. To me it was probably mostly due to their personnel and not play calling. I'm with you Brady, HARD pass on Craddock! I'll take Dan Mullen over Craddock!
Amen brotha. Lol
Geez... I'm depressed after reading those comments...
