If JJ stays for another year at Michigan, they might be playing on Monday night. JJ would clearly be the #1 draft pick and Sherrone's first year would not have been the roller coaster it was. Though, if his knee injury was going to happen in Minneapolis or Ann Arbor, then Michigan's 2024 season would probably been very similar to the same result. Amor fati
The traveling man Sam Donald had a career year and took the Vikings to the 14-3 record. Many have thought that JJ might now be tradeable as Sam was set up to sign a big contract. Most thought the Vikings would "franchise tag" Sam as JJ develops. Then for the Vikings most 2 important games of the year (last week against Detroit and last night's playoff game against the Rams), Sam played terrible. Amor fati

Weird how many portal and HS commits UK has had the past few years. And they still stink.
Sam Darnold thoughts: not every QB is meant to be an NFL QB, let alone a starter. Darnold suffers from the same affliction that many would be QBs do: he can't process defenses fast enough. I've seen Darnold in action in 4+ games this year. What jumps off the TV screen is how effing long he holds the ball. Even with the limited view of the TV you can see how he has wide open receivers but just couldn't pull the trigger! If I'm the vikings, I'm not rushing out to give him a contract. He has a low ceiling. They signed Danny Dimes, and he might be a good enough placeholder until JJ gets up to speed or shows he's not cut out for the NFL either.
Who's Logan Forbes? Is he a walk on?
I say put in JJ next year, let the boat to the Super run wild!! "What you going to when JJ runs all over you"
Blue for life....
Don't think he'd be ready. He lost a whole year due to a knee injury. Best case scenario, let Danny Dimes or Sam Darnold start the year and bring JJ in after 4-6 games, as long as his knee is ready.

Moore likely knew this would be a short-term relationship. Jim Leonard....go get him.
