Michigan Monday: Tua 2 Looking For Work

Taulia Tagovailoa gave Michigan all kinds of trouble after he transferred from Alabama to Maryland.  During the National Championship season, JJ was playing hurt and Michigan played a pretty bad game in the cold of November and barely escaped with a win.   I of course nicknamed him Tua 2.

Tua 2 went undrafted but got picked up by the CFL Hamilton Tiger-Cats.  Last season he appeared in 8 games, ran 3 times for 10 yards and a TD. He threw 1 pass for 6 yards.   The Tiger-Cats have released him prior to the CFL training camp starting.

  • Mommy Harbaugh showed up a Chargers rookie minicamp to surprise Jim on Sunday.
  • Mike Wright who has played at Northwestern, Mississippi State, and Vandy, has committed to play for East Carolina.   If transferring a ton of times is wrong, don't be Mike Wright.
  • May 12th 1883 the first Michigan varsity home football game was played  as Michigan took on the Detroit Independents in Ann Arbor.  Michigan won of course 40-5 and Horace Prettyman scored the first touchdown in Ann Arbor.  Hat tip to Michigan Football on UMGoBlue on Twitter.
  • I hope all the Big House Blog Mom's had a great Sunday!

When transferring so many times how can an athlete truly believe his skills will improve. He never stays in one place long enough to make a difference.

I believe there was some overlap between Locksley and Tualia's recruitment at Bama. Locksley was the Tide's OC in 2018. So when Locksley got the Maryland gig and Tualia wasn't getting on the field at Bama, it was a natural move. Tualia was a decent college QB that's it. First he was short, 2nd he was very loose with the ball. He's make big plays....just not always for his team. He was just as likely to make a costly turnover as he was to make a big play for his offense.
