There isn't much Michigan content this week as the players get some time off to rest and heal and the coaches get to evaluate the team at the quarter pole of the season. So I thought I would clear out my head and share some random thoughts with you.
- Michigan's OLine has gotten better with more outside zone plays
- Michigan's pass rush got much better with Barham at DE and leveraging the depth at LB with Rolder and Sullivan.
- Rod Moore will make the secondary much better coming back
- The secondary needs to heal these next two weeks
- Has Justice hit all those long runs on the same play?
- Michigan really needs a #2 WR to step up. The #2 WR could be the #1 TE.
- Michigan not playing Penn State or IU this season is very beneficial to our win loss record.
- IU vs Illinois felt like Ohio State vs. a Don Brown defense. Can the Iowa defense slow down the IU offense this weekend?
- John Mateer needing hand surgery is going to hurt Oklahoma's record and Michigan's quality loss.
- Michigan's punter worries me
- Morgan seems to be more comfortable catching punts now, but still............
- Michigan Basketball could be pretty good this year.
- I love the Ryder Cup, I wish it wasn't during football season. Here is my recommendation, make it during Labor Day weekend and finish on that Monday. That weekend needs something to fill Sunday and Monday.
- Gundy getting fired was predictable, that program has really struggled lately
- Does UCLA have the money to hire a real head coach?
- Do you know that Chevy Chase is on tour this holiday season, where you can watch Christmas Vacation with him and then discuss it?

Most important note is that last note... gotta find that near me!
J. Hill is one of the worest CB in the country....please get him off the field.
Blue for life
Tight End is usually the safety valve. Not going to get many explosive passing plays throwing to the TE. We need to continue throwing more to the WRs to get timing and develop them.
Yes the O Line did better in that zone rush scheme but future teams will see that and prepare. They have to be better at many schemes. Don't even have to be great, just good enough to give the horses a seem to run through and Underwood a second to plant or run. In total dropped passes this season, we have a tie for #2....in the country! Goodwin and Morgan. Dudes, cmon! and any WR recruits out there that think they got the goods? This would be your dream. Underwood will get you the ball, you just got to catch it! Last thing; about the stupid penalty that really could have cost the game; that's on coaching and team Captains. You take a hood rat that does that, take him into the blue injury tent, and beat the living hell out of him until he cries Bo Schembechler!! Inexcusable. Coaches, get them to be better than that! Act like you been there before, show some class, and let your play do your speaking not your jaws and dances. You can talk trash all you want, just don't use your mouth....use your actions. Be a beast! Then let the beast walk away from the prey as the prey writhes in pain. As Master Yoda says; Do not try, just do or do not.
Easy Francis.....lol while I agree that was a stupid taunting penalty that can't happen, lets not get too carried away. Biff should of had him sit for a series to remind him how to act. But Biff looks like a guy that's just happy to be here. If any player does that again this season, then its on Sheronne Moore. One of his first orders of business after coming back from his suspension was to address the team and let them know that won't be tolerated at Michigan.
I agree Chowman..please no more dumb penalties....
On the taunting penalty, it was after the play, so why wasn't it a penalty to M from where they received the punt?
that I can't answer as I'm not an expert on college football rules. there are some differences between pro and college. my only point is you can't do that. that's just dumb. my reaction is act like you've played the game before. I have no issues with celebrating with your teammates after making a huge play, but I don't need the taunting.
