Wolverine Wednesday: Screen Door Is Now Open

I spent two weeks in Italy a few weeks ago.  Italy is a beautiful country and a great place to visit for a couple weeks.  It's a very different place then the US.  For example, they don't do lunch.  Every restaurant has 1 menu and its a dinner menu.  I would have killed for a chicken sandwich, it's hard to do 2 dinners everyday.   I'm a big lunch guy.

I also love screens.  Not the ones that keep bugs out of your house  those are very useful), I like the screens that offensive coordinators calls.  Donovan Edwards has 3 very memorable runs on the way to a National Championship and wins over Ohio State.  I still believe he was under utilized in Michigan's offense.  Could he have been Reggie Bush?  I would've liked to seen if it was possible!

Michigan had an award winning offensive line for two years and barley ran a screen to a RB.  Yes, they ran WR screens but rarely a RB screen.

Michigan started the game with a bubble screen to Morgan.  Then ran a total of 5 screens.  Has Chip Lindsey really brought a true offense to Ann Arbor?  I hope so!  Run more screens, get more first downs, and score more points!

  • Most NCAA basketball exhibitions are done in gyms with no fans and just two teams and a few referees.  Michigan is doing an exhibition against St. John's in Madison Square Garden that is sponsored by Bad Boy Mowers.  Is this a Bowl Game?
  • Michigan actually dropped in the AP Poll.  FSU went from unranked to Michigan's spot at 14.
  • Denard is doing a new radio gig with Sam Webb called the Monday Morning QB.  Devin Gardner used to do the hit, but he is a big time Fox TV guy now!
  • Cade now with ETSU was 12-17 for 146 yards with 1 TD and 1 Pick against Murray State on Saturday.  This week he has Tennessee.   Deep thought, if Cade didn't transfer would he be Michigan's starter now? (assuming the same injuries) Probably not.  He would have more rings.
