There seems to be certain givens when Big Ten teams travel West and Big Ten West teams travel East. They don't play well. IU broke that rule last weekend and now Washington is trying to. Michigan of course fell into that stigma last week as they laid down in LA.
Washington is a good team folks and should be ranked. Their only loss was at home to #1 Ohio State. I believe they are even better then USC. They have a QB that can spin it but runs like the wind. Traditionally, these QB's have given Michigan's defense a big problem.
Dear Sherrone,
Your a good man and a good football coach. I feel bad for you because your not ready for this job. No assistant coach or coordinator is. This job rolled Rich Rod and Brady Hoke and they had years of head coaching experience. It took years for Jim Harbaugh to figure out how to coach here and he coached in a Super Bowl and played under Bo.
Wink is playing you my friend and I hope you've have had enough. Don't let a couple of really good performances last last year, cloud your vision today. Your offense is where most of us expected it would be. The Offense Line has struggled more then we thought they would but Bryce is playing well as a 18 year old true freshman. I remember when JJ was a freshman and you wouldn't allow him to throw the ball. The running game is solid when Justice is healthy and I hope he is on Saturday. The defense is the problem. The defense looked very confused on Saturday night, very confused. It also seems the tape is out on Wink's defense and good OC's know how to beat it. The last time we had that, Don Brown was our DC.
Ok back to the game, that is enough advice from a jerk behind a keyboard. Wake Wink up and get him to scheme an easy to understand formation for the defense players to understand but tries to keep Demon Williams Jr. in the pocket. The DL has to get their hands up to knock down passes, and there needs to be a spy on the fast QB. Guess what? Jedd Fisch is smart and was the Michigan OC not that long ago. He will have reviewed the USC tape and will see how Michigan struggled with the quick passing game, expect it again. Top top it off, UW's new DC is former Illinois DC and Purdue Head Coach Ryan Walters whose defense gave Michigan fits at Illinois.
Is Justice healthy? Michigan needs him to run the offense that way it can. I think we have our WR's locked in place now but the TE's need some more targets. Passing on first down will continue to open up the running game. Coach on a side note, have you seen what Jayden Denegal has done at SDSU? He had thrown for over a 1000 yards, 7 TD's and 2 Picks as their starting QB. That is a discussion for another day.
Coach, this is a very important game for you. Washington will be playing a body clock game at 9:00AM. Michigan will have to show up on defense, last week was embarrassing and probably should've cost Wink his job. If that happens again this week, someone will need to go. Your teams play better at home then on the road, which is not uncommon for young teams and young coaches. Stop the run from the QB and UW RB's, play much better in the secondary, get 3 turnovers on defense, run the ball with Justice & Jordan, hit McCulley & Marsh with first down passes and long TD throws, keep Bryce from getting hit all the time, target the TE's, and play clean football with few penalties and no turnovers.

I hope that your prediction Mich 28 Wash 24 holds up.... other than that > another beat-down will give me PTSD {{{LOL}}}
Sadly, I'm giving this 31-14 to Washington. Don't see how Mich stops that QB
Haynes is still hurting and hasn't practiced all week. Unless Sherrone has completely turned into Brady Hoke and plays him anyways, we are not going to beat anyone with a walk on fullback, Kuzdzall, running the ball.
Washington- 34, Michigan- 31.
Sorry to get off the subject of the game tomorrow but I see that Michigan state has a week off this week.. so many of Michigan's opponents this year have had a week off before playing them I don't think this is very fair
How is everyone saying the offense is just fine? I get the defense has had issues, however, 13 points is not going to win many games in today’s football. 2 times this year the offense has managed just 13 points. The offense needs to score a minimum of 28 points per game. If they put 28 last week USC does not score 31. Points win games not yards.
Who is 'everyone'? I've not read anything where folks say the offense is fine. On this blog or elsewhere.
-If we lose this game, its time for Moore to go. It'll mean we got 8-4 and with this piss poor schedule this season, its not good enough. Hell, Moore might be a pillar in the community. He might be a deacon in his church. He's not a head football coach at the University of Michigan. Jim Harbaugh said a lot of stupid shit. Jim was a good coach, but he was cringy as hell. But one thing he did say was so fitting for Sherrone Moore. Nobody was born on 3rd base, not even Sherrone Moore.
Good point!
