Both Michigan and OSU lose players off their Fall Rosters

Michigan released it's fall roster yesterday and one high profile player wasn't on it. Marques Slocum was a DT that had a ton of up side as a football player but had a hard time qualifying and now seems to have failed out of school. He spent the better part of 2 years trying to get into Michigan and made a few brief appearances in games last year. Now, it seems he couldn't hack it in the classroom and is officially off the team.

I wish Marques luck and hope he continues his education and football career.

OSU has seemed to finally cut ties with troubled safety Eugene Clifford. You might remember Eugene from: being suspended from the trip to the national championship game last season after breaking unspecified team rules. Then on July 4th weekend, he was arrested in Cincinnati after allegedly punching two employees of the Holy Grail sports bar while the employees were trying to break up a fight.

Eugene was one of the top recruits in the 2006 class out of Cincinnati Colerain and will continue his football skills at another school. Reportedly; Louisville, Eastern Kentucky and Western Carolina are all interested in Eugene, but he most likely will end up a D1A school where he can play right away. That rumored school seems to be Tennessee State.
