With a new coaching staff comes some new traditions. The Beanie Bowl is one of those new traditions. The Beanie Bowl simulated a real game at Michigan stadium and all the particulars of preparing for next week.
This was the first time for most of the coaches and the freshman to get a chance to run down the tunnel, hit the banner, and play in the big house. One big difference, there wasn't 110,000 faithful waiting for them.
The below link from shows highlights from the game and interviews with RR and a couple of returning Letterman. The highlights show all three QB's completing passes and Nick Sheridan running for a touchdown on the option. Steve Threet looks like a polished passer but Nick showed some good arm strength and mobility.
There is even a screen to McGuffie and pick thrown by Feagin. RR spoke in the interview that some of the freshmen were nervous and made some freshmen mistakes. He also mentioned that the team is exactly where he thought they would be and would be ready in another full week of practice.
There is also a quick cameo from Mike Barwis.
