- Sam McGuffie is doubtful for the Purdue game with lingering effects from a concussion. He took a very hard helmet to helmet hit in the MSU game and I thought he was knocked out at one point. With an injury like this I would rather seem him take at least a week off. He hasn't practiced this week. Michael Shaw will most likely take his position on kickoff return.
- LB Austin Painter should be back for the Purdue game
- LB Mike Leach still has a high ankle sprain and will not be available this weekend
- Junior Heminway still recovering from Mono and doesn't have enough strength to play yet. (I wonder if he can get a medical redshirt?)
- Carlos Brown is still having trouble cutting and is still a few weeks out from playing
- Safety Mike Williams is out for the Purdue game with a concussion.
- The left side of the offensive line as left little to be desired this year and John Ferrara a former DT is giving Tim McAvoy a run for his money as a starter.
- Wheat is back as a volunteer on Rich's staff. He helps out in the weight room, etc.
