- Four-star linebacker Aramide Olaniyan who committed to Duke is planning a visit to Ann Arbor. Note: committed players that continue to take visits are not committed.
- Per Mgoblog recruiting guru: (and their HS head coach) Terry and Terrence Talbot had had an awesome time on their visit to Ann Arbor. "Rich and the boys took great care of them," was an exact quote.
- State of Michigan DB Dior Mathis has Michigan #5 behind a number of other schools. This is either a Will Campbell hoax (former teammate of Dior) or Michigan has become a long shot.
If all 4 committed then Michigan would be full at 20 spots. I expect Michigan to continue to recruit and maybe sign a class size around 22 or 23. As we have seen in past years, players de-commit as it gets closer to signing day and other players deep on the depth chart transfer or quit the team.
There are also currently 6 kids saying they will enroll in January which could be used/counted towards the 2011 class. The 6 are Hopkins, Miller, J. Robinson, M. Robinson, Pace, and Gardner.
If the Michigan class was full at 20 they would be missing needs at punter, another safety, LB, and maybe another DT or DE.

Good point with the 20 commit "cap". What is astonishing this year is that we took so many lower rated players so early that we may not have room for signing day commits of higher rated players a la Je'Ron Stokes and Denard Robinson.
And yet we keep offering (Talbott brothers, for example) rather than playing it cool. Will we be full before signing day? Our lower rated recruits are of course solid (Hopkins, Kinard, Dileo, Williamson), so we find ourselves in an interesting situation. How will this all play out? Time will tell.
You got that right and today's 3 stars could be 4 stars after they play thier senior season.
