Michigan Monday = Holiday Hangover

Hope everyone enjoyed the long holiday weekend. Nothing like getting up on Monday and starting the work week all over again, but we must go to work and make that important "living" thing.

Not much going on in Wolverine World over the weekend. Here is your update:

  • Manny being Manny at Paul Pierce's Camp via U of M Hoops: Here is what Paul had to say about Michigan's Manny Harris; “He’s got a pretty good mid-range game,” Pierce said of Harris. “I like the way he comes off screens. He has tremendous upside and has a good basketball IQ. He’s also one of the guys that picked things up right away.” Not that I disagree with an NBA Champion, but Manny isn't really known for his mid-range game, I sort of think his strong points are driving to the basket and shooting 3's. If Manny has added that mid-range shot to his game, look for the Wolverines to have a big year and Manny to end up in the Lottery.

  • Tony Grimes, a Florida DB camped in Ann Arbor and will make an official visit to U of M on September 11th. Tony is rated a 3 star prospect from Rivals and is 6"0 165 lbs. He has offers from the likes of Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, WVU, Iowa and many more. Seems higher then a 3 star with all those offers.

  • Bid on Michigan Items for a Good Cause for the 2009 Bernard "Pat" Maloy Scholarship Online Auction. There is a Marlin Jackson signed football worth a bid or two! Go bid and Go Blue!

  • Ohio's 4 star Jerald Robinson planing to play offense at Michigan. Some had thought he would play DB at Michigan: "At first the Michigan coaches were talking about defense," Robinson said. "But after they saw me at their camp (in June) they said they want me to play wide receiver". Jerald has picked up a number of offers for other Big Ten and Big East schools lately but: "I'm all Blue," he said. "The Michigan coaches made me feel welcome. And they have really good academics."
