Confirmed Meeting Between Les and Michigan Will Happen

Les said himself that he will meet with David Brandon tomorrow in Dallas.  He said, that he is happy at LSU.

This is either a smoke screen and Les and David has already spoken and just dotting the I and crossing the T's and having a public meeting to address the 24 hour rule regarding notifying the LSU AD.   Or David isn't really interested in Les and is just checking the box with the Michigan faithful that really wants Miles.

It's hard to tell what the hell is going on right now.   I don't believe that if Les is a serious candidate that they haven't had a discussion yet.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

the third option being that he really doesn't want the job, because:
-doesn't want to be perceived as a #2, at best, option after Harbaugh
-was snubbed 3 years ago
-sees a huge amnount of risk at this stage in his career to go to a rebuild/transition situation
-knows the michigan fan base well, 'nuff said

Good points. Maybe Les is going to help David find a good coach for Michigan.

Hire Hoke at $1.5 mill and get Dick Bumpas,DC, from TCU and pay him $100,000 more than what TCU is paying him.
Great HC and DC
This is low risk high-reward.

I don't believe that DB has time or interest to lead the public on a wild goose chase, because time is not on his side. I do agree however, that he and Les Miles have "unofficially" spoken and has to observe the proper timeframe for given notice.

Plus, I don't believe Miles would have a problem with being #2 espcially if this is indeed his "Dream Job." What would he care? He will get the big bucks if he comes and will command the same if not more than J Harbaugh because Miles has won more games, and more titles against better competition. In other words, he'd be laughing all the way to the bank, while working at his dream job.

A comment from tigerdroppings.com

"I can't believe how naive some people are. If you really look at the entirety of this process, and all the evidence we have, which includes the WWL video, the video this afternoon, the UM plane being in BR for an extended period of time, the planned meeting between UM and Miles, I'm not sure how anyone can conclude Miles isn't gone."

We will have to pay him $4.5 million a year. Is it really worth it, can Les make it happen?

Hoke's value isn't that high and he i has turned teams from bad to good. I would stick with HOKE, cause if he don't succeed then we didn't pay much. But I think Hoke will make it happen, because he has that taste of SURVIVAL.

I say Hoke and Bumpas, TCU D-coordinator. They would cost Les than Les Miles
