Les is Not More For the Wolverines

So Les is not going to be Michigan's next head coach.  He is now staying at LSU and it's official.

Maybe the job was never offered.  So that leaves the question:  What the hell is David doing in Ann Arbor right now?

I'm personally getting really tired of this.  Is this the Brady Hoke show then?  A candidate they could of signed a week ago?

More to come.

WTF is going on? what about the 4pm meeting today? There better be a pleasant surprise

It could be a surprise, but i don't think it will be pleasant.

Why is the AD anouncing this and not LM?

I think we have better chances with Brady Hoke

Is that where we are?

Offering the only coach that will take the job? What a mess.

This is so embarrassing it's beyond words. Our own alums are shunning us.

Ya know, even a moron does not get rid of his only car (ala DB dumping RR) without another mode of transportation lined up!

Does DB know what he's doing? Is it almost time to STOP SAYING the DB is some kind of business genius? We'll know shortly when someone, anyone, takes this job.

Don't agree: look at all the schools that changed coaches in the last few weeks. None of them had the new coach lined up first.

the chancellor of UM can fire Brandon and find another someone, but then who will that be. I would say make LC the AD.

Right now AD are acting like DA's (dumba$$)

Q: Are ya sure? How do ya know they didn't have verbals and just needed to work out the details?

We apparently don't even have the verbals.....

Apparently from what I've found out in the last 24 hours this is David's MO. This is the way he does everything and has done this in the past at Domino's.
Sounds like Brady is really the guy to lead the Wolverines....or we're in for a real surprise.

Verbal commits from coaches are as solid as verbal commits from recruits -- easy. Getting them to sign something is hard.

Harbaugh and Miles might both have blown smoke up Brandon's derriere for all we know, then bowed out when push came to shove.

Let's not forget that Bo wasn't an overwhelmingly received pick back in the day. So if Hoke wants to take the job, I say welcome and good luck.

Agree with ya Q about the verbals. If that did in fact happen though, Harbaugh and Miles should be banished to coaching hell for leading on their alma mater for deceptive personal gain (at UM's expense) and EVERYONE associated with UM should disown them! Just my 2 cents....

GOBlue_Vinnie said...

They should NEVER, EVER, be considered by UM again! 2 more cents....

This says more about Miles and Harbaugh's character than it does on Brandon's competence.

I'm giving Brandon the benefit of the doubt for now.

I doubt Brandon would've flown to Baton Rouge if he wasn't given some sort of encouragement for success. If Miles wasn't interested, a phone call to his agent would've made it clear.

Maybe Tony Dungy (He didn't say absolutely never)or even Greg Mattison (he could hire Chuck Heater to recruit for him til the Ravens are out)are in Santa Ana. PLEASE GIVE US SOME HOPE for 2011 and 2012!!!

A reply by Chris after I suggested he was a shill for the Michigan Administration and Dave Brandon before I was Black Listed by the Rivals Board.

They needed to get Harbaugh, IMO. That was the best opportunity to get Michigan back to prominence very quickly, and it is a swing and a miss.

I don't need to share the opinion of the people in charge... we are capable of thinking for ourselves. If I knew they were going after a Stoops, for example, and had a chance to get him, I'd be all over that. As it stands, Michigan's best chance at getting back to being Michigan is to hire Les Miles, have Lloyd Carr there to greet him at the presser and get everyone back on the same page.

I like Brady Hoke, but if you hire him, factions explode. Period.

Like several former players, it makes me sleep a little better at night knowing someone with a Bo Schembechler pedigree is in charge of this place. Others might differ, but that's who I am.

And the fact that you think I'm some kind of shill is insulting.

My original Letter of possible favoritism.

Chris.. Edit | Reply

Through numerous updates on candidates the beat goes on continuously about Brady in glowing terms. Most of us can visit neutral extensive sites about Brady. If I may ask a simple question. Is our site subject to publishing control by the University of Michigan AdMin? The articles posted by the Mods ever since the inception of a HC search by DB reeks of favoritism of those actually in control of the University and DB. I feel if you keep publishing the same story, again and again, about Brady and Les you give the impression that we should go along with your continuous endorsement of those two candidates. Little was offered about JH and John H or any other candidate that was in play. Cloak and Dagger or a directive to do so from above, the AdMin. Please explain.

I was writing about all this when Brady Hoke was announced as the new Head Coach at Michigan.

I can't post over at Rivals but I can read all the comments made.

If I get out of line here please let me know.
