Michigan Thursday: Has a Couple Recruiting Nuggets

  • Sam Webb does his weekly piece on Michigan prospect Zach Garnett.  I apologize I missed that he is Lincoln Kennedy's son.   Having a this 6'9 youngman in Ann Arbor would be huge for both the football and basketball programs.  Zach plans on making his decision in the next month or two but only telling his head coach, so he can pick a hat at the Army All American game in January.

  • Jason Avant called a players only meeting for the Philadelphia Eagles to try to get them all on the same page.

  • Remember Austin White?  He showed up out of shape his freshman year to fall camp and after RR and Barwis put him through some intensive training to get him back in shape, he decided to transfer to Central Michigan.  Well, Austin is now suspended from the Chips.

  • Nebraska announced that DT Jared Crick is out for the year.  This is a big loss for the Cornhuskers.

  • Sorry I missed this, but Michigan offered another offensive lineman for the 2012 class last week.   It's Alex Kozan from Colorado.  He is a 4 star guy and comes in at 6'4 295 pounds.  With a new offer comes some interest from Alex on visiting A2.  This is a clear sign that things are not good for Michigan in Jordan Diamond's recruitment.
