Every fall camp you are excited for football and worried about injuries. Some famous camp injuries that stick with me are Troy Woolfolk and Drew Henson. We hadn't heard too much about injuries outside of LB Poole who came to camp with an existing injury. Then the news broke regarding freshman Chris Wormley who won't get a chance to play this year becuase he has torn his ACL in practice.
Chris had been mentioned as someone that could contribute right away and now will spend the year as a red shirt. I don't know the impact this injury will have on the Wolverines 2012 defense, I just feel bad for a kid that probably hasn't taken his first class at Michigan yet and now has a major injury. Let's hope he is a quick healer and will be back for next years fall camp.
- This reporter thinks Bellomy might be a better option as the #2 QB ahead of Devin. I'm not sure this is a 100% correct statement. I believe the coaches think Bellomy would do a decent job if he had to be thrown into a game, which allows them to use Devin at WR. A position that needs a game breaker. If Denard goes down and Devin is healthy, I believe he takes all the QB snaps.
