Michigan is hosting a couple top 2014 prospects on Saturday. First is instate DE Malik McDowell who is expected to watch most of the UMass game before heading North to see State play ND. Next is (24/7) 5 star RB Sony Michel whose brother plays for UMass. Let's hope Sony is coming to see the Big House and U of M, while getting to watch his brother play as well. Insert "little brother" visitors jokes here.
- Derrick Green is doing his first official visit this weekend to Tennessee. He is planning to do his official to A2 for the MSU game. Will the third time be the charm for DG?
- S Leon McQuay is also expected for the MSU game. Vandy and USC are the main competition for Leon. USC class is pretty close to full.
- Add two more names on the MSU visitor list: 2014 WR/DB Artavis Scott and his teammate OT Mason Cole. Both play for East Lake in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
As I am sure you heard, DE Frank Clark's status with Michigan hasn't changed. Expect to see him on the field on Saturday.
You have also heard by now that ND is headed to the ACC. My reaction was, so what? The only news I found interesting was that ND can use one of the ACC's bowl tie in and the ACC will be a very strong basketball conference. The media is saying this is a big win for the ACC. I think it hurts some of the mid-level teams in the league. If Maryland goes 8-4 and ND goes 8-4, which team goes to the better bowl? Thanks ND for playing 5 games, not sharing your NBC money and taking our bowl spot!

For what it's worth I believe that ND chose the ACC because they can probably write their own check, and possibly feel they could dominate the football side of the conference.
I would like to see Michigan drop ND, because up till now, ND was sleeping with the B1G ten schools which is like not buying the cow but getting the milk for free. Of course they didn't share in the conference revenues but they didn't need to because they had their own deal.
Plus I'd like to see other schools such as Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Florida, Georgia, etc. We won't see them as long as we have ND. I believe we can thank former AD Bill Martin for that.
