Big Ten Weekend Preview

Not exactly a strong line-up for the Big Ten this week.  You always know if the Big Ten is relevant or not by the spot that get in ESPN's Game Day Final.   I'm expecting maybe one quick highlight this week from OSU's win over Illinois.    BTW: There is no way Braxton Miller is going to win the Heisman running a team that can't win any type of championship.

Big Ten Game of the Week

Nebraska at MSU (Neb -2)  MSU is a home dog to Nebraska?  I'm sorry when did Nebraska become a good team?  Because they beat a Denardless Michigan at home?  MSU beat Wisconsin on the road last week and are feeling good.  Nebraska is a terrible road team (gave up 63 points to OSU on 10/6) and even though the Spartans have dropped some home games still has a strong defense.  Look for Nebraska's fumble issues to come back in East Lansing.  If MSU can score they will win this one easy.   MSU 21 Nebraska 10

Illinois at Ohio State (-27.5):  I like how the Big Ten has a rule for new coaches that most of their games will be played at home year 1 in their tenure. # of OSU home games this year? = 8   A laugher.  OSU 41 Illinois 3

Penn State at Purdue (-3.5):  Penn State came back to earth last week against OSU.   They are better then Purdue.  PSU 24 Purdue 17

Iowa at IU (IU -1.5):  Indiana plays well at home and Iowa plays well every 3 to 4 weeks.   I think this is IU's turn to play well.  There are rumblings that Indiana might make a run at Indy.   IU 31 Iowa 21

Northwestern and Wisconsin are off this week.  (The Wildcats have a bye before traveling to Ann Arbor next week)

Michigan vs. Minnesota preview will be up Friday morning.

If you are a Michigan fan (and I know you are), you need to be pulling for an MSU win this weekend.  Nebraska's other Big Ten games are PSU, Minnesota & Iowa.

Big Ten Games to Watch:
Noon: Michigan at Minnesota
3:30: Nebraska at MSU

The rest are not watchable.
