Wolverine Wednesday: Has Some Walk-On News

It's been awhile since we had some Walk-On News so we were due for sure.   Jack Doyle a 6'2 215 pound LB from Grosse Pointe will be joining the 2013 recruiting class as a preferred walk-on.  He is projected as a inside/middle LB.  He was not rated and didn't have any offers.  Welcome to the Wolverines Jack!

  • Tim Hardaway continues to impress the scouts and may have skyrocketed up many draft boards.  Some "mocks" have him now going as high as #11.   When he made the decision to leave, he was listed to be a 2nd round player by many of the NBA insiders.

  • Da'Shawan Hand has a new top 3 and it's big news:  Michigan, Alabama and Florida.  The presumed leader with Michigan was Virginia Tech but they don't have a sports marketing program, so they were dropped.   South Carolina was also dropped due to their Sports Marketing professor not impressing Mr. Hand.  The rumor is Bama is also gaining ground on the Wolverines.

  • Michigan has seen their APR go up.  Here is a story on it from ESPN.

  • The Detroit Sound Mind and Sound Body Camp is this weekend.  This camp has become a big event and more out of state players are coming to Detroit for it.   Expect to see the likes of Brady Hoke and Urban Meyer there again.
