Let's first hit the Big Ten Updates and then get into some other news and a very cool recruiting story.
Up
Wisconsin beats up on Illinois. I know they lost to OSU and ASU but Wisconsin is the second best team in the Big Ten right now.
Minnesota got a huge win over Northwestern on the road.
Ohio State just gets bye Iowa but is still undefeated
Hold
Michigan played a video game against IU
IU has a high powered offense and just the opposite on defense
MSU scored 14 points against a very poor Purdue team.
Iowa is improving and played OSU close
Nebraska and Penn State had byes
Down
Northwestern is in bad shape
Purdue is not so good
Illinois is improving but........

Ohio State should run away with the Leaders and the Legends is a 3 team race between MSU, Nebraska, and Michigan. Northwestern not having a win in Big Ten play is pretty shocking.
- Unofficial visits can be costly for recruits and their families, since they have to pick-up the entire cost of the trip. The only thing the University can provide is tickets/access to the game. With recruits committing earlier and earlier, official or paid visits are becoming less important. This past weekends visit from Hjalte Froholdt is really impressive, because he lives in Denmark (the one in Northern Europe). Now that is a long trip! Hjalte is ranked as the #14 prospect in the U.S. by ESPN in the 2015 class. He is a defensive lineman and played last year for Warren Harding in Ohio. He is playing this year in Demark and hopes to get back to the US for his senior year. If he can't, he will go to college in the US for sure. Most believe this is a Ohio State - Michigan recruiting battle and TomVH from ESPN reports he could make a decision soon. Having him on campus this weekend is clearly a big deal for the Wolverines.
- Remember the name Drue Tranquill from this summer? He preformed well in the Sound Mind and Body and attended Michigan's camp and was on the verge of getting an offer before Chase Winovich committed. Drue committed to Purdue and now ND has offered. He visited ND this past weekend and many expect him to flip to the Irish.
- 2014 recruiting is pretty quiet right now. It seems Michigan is just really waiting for the likes of Hand, McDowell and Smith to make decisions.
- If you missed it, Leon Hall blew out his Achilles against the Lions yesterday.
- Michigan is #22 in BCS, #23 in Coaches, #24 in AP and still #1 in our hearts!
