The things that jumped out to me are the following:

  • It seems Green earned the start at RB
  • Desmond Morgan is talented and they are not sure where to play him yet, but need him on the field.
  • Glasgow beat out Pewee?  Is he fully healthy?
  • Like we thought a true freshman is starting at Left Tackle in Mason Cole
  • Sounds like Jenkins-Stone is coming on, if he is a co-starter with Ross
  • Canteen is at WR not slot
  • 2nd team FS is a walk-on from Georgia (redshirt sophomore)
BTW:  None of this matters and will probably be 40% different at kick off.

I would also imagine that if you want to find out if some players such as Cole, Peppers and so forth are real or solid enough, then you would start them against an ASU team to take a closer look under game conditions with a real opponent that you should beat, when things are on the line in front of a big friendly crowd. If they don't play well to start then switch and still take the game. IMHO
