Michigan Monday: It's GAME WEEK

Wow, it seems like we haven't heard that term (game week) in a very long time.   Since I don't consider that thing Michigan did in December a game, it has been a good part of 9 months since they last played a competitive football game.

David Brandon for some reason has scheduled App. State again this week.   The "train wreck
" of a game in 2007 is the point in time the Michigan program started to turn for the worse.   For some reason they are now back on the schedule and visit Ann Arbor this weekend as 34 point underdog.

This along with many other factors have many Wolverine fans not renewing their season or student tickets this year.   The game on Saturday at noon, might not be a sell out for the first time, I can ever remember.    Get prepared for a week of highlights from 2007 that none of us want to see.    I guess on one had, the Wolverines can exercise some ghosts this weekend.

Some News and Notes:

  • Peppers is expected to return punts, Hoke continues to say he won't start at corner even though most fans expect him to.

  • Norfleet will be the starting Slot WR, with Canteen playing as well.

  • Hoke and both coordinators will hold a press conference at 11:00.

Alan Branch had a terrible weekend, he got arrested for a DUI on Saturday night and was cut from the Bills on Sunday morning.

Michigan went 4-0 in Italy with a 97-76 victory.   Irvin again was the high scorer with 16, LeVert 15, and Walton 14.  The game sounded closer with Michigan pulling away late for the 20 pt. win.

If you missed it, here is the Austin Hatch story on Good Morning America.

If Hoke has major news today, I will post it here this afternoon.   I do expect him to name his starting offensive line today.   I hope they didn't use a dart board to pick it.
