The Michigan Basketball team got a surprise 2016 class 5 star commit from Tyus Battle on Monday. He just visited and must of loved it and committed! He is a 6'5 shooting guard and rated as one of the top guards in the country. He is a 5 star SG to all the services and has offers from the top programs as well: Duke, UConn, Syracuse, Louisville, UK, Arizona, IU and others.
What a nice addition after losing out on Jaylen Brown. UMhoops has a nice write up on more details on Tyus.
- Michigan also accepted a preferred walk-on spot from 6'8 F Brent Hibbitts. Brent turned down some mid-major offers to walk-on at Michigan. I would say John Beilein and the Michigan Basketball Program had a very nice Monday!
- Michigan also introduced the worst keep secret in college football that Wayne Lyons is transferring from Stanford to Michigan for his graduate year.
- Sounds like Max Bielfeldt won't be coming back to the Michigan program as he tweeted out that he was moving out of A2 this week.
