Michigan Friday: Wilson and Wagner Leaning Towards NBA

DJ Wilson and Mortiz Wagner struggled two seasons ago and the NBA looked like a pipe dream.  After a strong 2016-17 season, a Big Ten Tournament Championship and a nice run in the NCAA Tournament both of these young big men are considering turning pro.

Zak Irvin has signed with an agent and probably is an NBA Free Agent or will consider playing overseas.   Both Wilson and Wagner are thinking about not signing with an agent and seeing what their status might be in the NBA.   I'm not an NBA talent evaluator but I think both guys could use another year in college.

  • Khaleke Hudson is making noise at Viper this spring.   It sounds like he is leader in the clubhouse with Josh Metellus moving to Safety.   As we know, Josh played Viper during the Orange Bowl after Peppers pulled his hamstring.  "It means a lot that Coach Brown would trust me enough to be the VIPER," Hudson said. "Me and Josh have been working hard. Everyone's been working hard, but it means a lot to be there. I feel like it's a place that's a good fit for me. I'll be able to play in the box and play outside -- it's also a great fit for Josh, because he can play in the box, play outside. So we're both just working just in case either one of us has to be that position, it won't be a surprise."

  • Michigan Baseball has won 7 straight games

  • 2018 3 Star GA RB Christian Turner visited Ann Arbor yesterday.

Moe and DJ are NOT ready for the NBA. They need more seasoning and consistency among other things.
