Michigan Monday: A Little Less Conversation, A Little More Action Please

I'm betting many of you that read this blog would agree with the title of this post.   We have been talking about Michigan Football for over 10 months without seeing them play on the field.   Even though Michigan competed with a very good Alabama team on January 1st, it seems like years since we have seen them take the field.   No Spring Practice, No Spring Game, and almost a 2 month delay in starting the season.   It is my pleasure to welcome you to......

GAME WEEK!

Many of us thought we might not get here for another 12 months.   We are here and its now time to see what this team has.   Anything can happen between now and 7:30 on Saturday, so lets hope both teams continue to test negative and we have a ball game on Saturday night.

  • NFL Wolverines had a bad Sunday for injuries, as it is expected that both Devin Bush and Taylor Lewan have torn their ACL's.   I don't follow MSU social media but it seems Sparty is enjoying the injury to Devin Bush.   Stay Classy East Lansing.
  • There was a very large change in the Michigan - Minn betting line this weekend.   Michigan went from a underdog getting 2.5 to a favorite at 3.5.   Usually there are 2 reasons for a jump like that, news about one team or all the money was coming in on the Wolverines.
  • I'm sure you didn't miss it but Michigan got its highest ranked defensive commitment on Friday when Branden Jennings committed.   Michigan has a very strong LB class and could use one more DB and 2 more DT's.   Michigan is also after another FSU commit in Duke Cooper who is a 4 star CB.
  • Michigan has offered 2024 Brandon Davis-Swain who called U of M, Michigan University.  He has time to learn how it works.
  • Fun Fact: Tom Brady played with Jon Runyan at Michigan.  Last night he played against Jon Runyan Jr. in Tampa vs. Green Bay.

Wow...Bob that is a great point..If Milton plays a C+ game, Michigan might have a chance to win...score 27-24 Michigan....

Game Week!!! Listen gentleman... Michigan is going to win this game... hands down....Milton has ZERO excuse to not dominate....I cannot and will not ever believe that Minnesota is a program that could ever compete on a regular basis with Big Blue... for anyone to actually worry about any team called the Gophers is embarrassing and may be an indication as to how far we have fallen.... Michigan wins big..... we have not fallen that far yet....The Jug and Paul will be brought home back to back... Book it boys

In the last 50 years... We have lost 5 times....it took Brady hoke in 2104, and in 77, if I recall correctly from a book... they let the grass grow and watered the field down terribly and our cleats were not correct for the players to have the right speed and traction.. Minnesota is a joke, and Fleck will leave soon, then they will once again be 4-8 and happy about a 8 win season...

Remember this Michigan, we haven't won anything since 1997, half of a Championship...we are the same program also lost to Rutgers several years ago....If I were you I wouldn't be too confident...Row the Boat isn't something to laugh about...you better take it serious and so does Michigan...

I had mentioned previously that this is the time for Michigan to step up and compete with the other elite level programs. They do have the talent to "compete," while winning the B1G and the Nationals are yet to be determined but they have to establish that they are again an elite program or they will continue to have difficulty getting the elite 5* and 4+ level players. Michigan has more talent than many of the second tier programs such as Minnesota and therefore "should" win that game. Schools like Alabama, Clemson, etc., aren't bothered by whether or not it's a night game or if fans are in the stands or not, they are prepared and they come to play. Michigan has got to step up and stake their claim as an elite program again, and that means handling their business against the Minnesota's, MSU's, Indiana's etc. while competing against and beating "some" top 10 teams. It's time. IMHO!!!

I 100% agree with VOR sadly I just havent seen Harbaugh display the ability to get a team prepared for a night game on the road. I hope I'm wrong & you are all right.

The line changed because Minnesota reportedly has some players out with Covid, but Fleck isn't saying who they are.

Don't you hate when people are so fucking stupid you have to explain something to them that doesn't need explaining.
