Wolverine Wednesday: Tyler Morris Heading To Ann Arbor

In sports there are special relationships between players that can turn into points and wins.   Growing up in Ann Arbor and watching the Tigers, Sweet Lou Whitaker and Alan Trammel come to mind.  Or maybe Jack Morris and Lance Parish.   The 49'ers with passes from Montana to Rice.  You even see teams try that today.  Randy Moss's son was a TE for LSU that the NFL really wasn't interested in and he wasn't drafted.   Washington signed him as a free agent but he never played last year after breaking his foot.  He got released and the Bengals are going to see if there is any magic left between him and Joe Burrow.

Michigan hopes that is the case between JJ and its newest commit WR Tyler Morris.  They both played together in 2019 before JJ transferred to IMG in Florida.  Tyler that year accounted for 1700 yards and was JJ's #1 target. Now they will be playing together again in Ann Arbor.

Michigan beat out ND for this talented 6'0 175 pound WR.  Tyler is rated the 80th player in the country and the #10 WR.  He is a 4 star prospect and makes the loss of Worthy much more palatable.

His offer list included the likes of ND, ASU, Florida, Arkansas, Iowa, Wisconsin, Tennessee, UK, MSU and many more. Welcome Tyler!

  • Seems Jimmy and staff are still trying to get Tennessee transfer LB Henry To'oto'o on campus to consider playing in Ann Arbor.  We all know its difficult to transfer to Michigan, so we shouldn't hold our breath here.  Ohio State and Alabama are also involved, which of course is another obstacle for the Wolverines landing the talented LB.
  • Speaking of the transfer portal, it seems Michigan Basketball has reached out to Coastal Carolina star DeVante Jones, who was the Sun Belt player of the year last season.
  • Youngstown State run by Jim Tressel and Bo Pelini has failed to monitor its football program.  I'm shocked!
