Michigan hasn't been dominated in what feels like years. Probably the last time was the Georgia game in Miami. Yes, TCU beat Michigan, but that was a case of Michigan not executing vs. one team dominating the other. So, it's been a minute.
On to Arkansas State. Here is another game where it will be more about Michigan then its opponent. Michigan has yet to look like a viable championship contender through the first two games. Now they roll in a Sun Belt team with a famous downtrodden head coach looking for redemption. What will we see this week from our beloved Wolverines? A new QB? New blocking schemes? New plays? or just the same thing we have seen the first two weeks?
Time to talk to the coach.

Good Morning and congrats on getting your contract signed. You suffered an ugly loss at home last week and this is your first real challenge as a full time head coach. Us fans have a lot of opinions but we are looking for you and your staff to make adjustments to better fit this team.
I'm sure you know this but this is not a power running team. Your offensive line is not ready and Edwards is not a power back. I sure hope you spent the week designing plays to get Edwards to the outside and more targets in the passing game.
You are stuck at QB. Tuttle seems to be injured, Orji can't throw, and Warren is struggling. The years of not successfully recruiting a QB has come to roost. Not getting a QB in the portal is also a huge miss. I know Joe Montana was not out there but there had to be something. If Tuttle is ready, give him a go.
For a team trying to find itself, this isn't a fair statement but its reality. Anything less than complete domination by Michigan on both sides of the ball this weekend, is unacceptable. The schedule continues to be brutal and we need clear steps forward from this team. This is the biggest test of your career and I hope you pushed yourself, your staff and players this week to be better.
This is what I expect on Saturday. Edwards over 100 total yards, Targets for other TE's outside of the double coverage on Loveland, a zone blocking running attack, improved QB play from someone, improved offensive line play, no Michigan turnovers, a defense that keeps Arkansas State under 10 points, and a red faced Butch Davis Jones that looks like he fell asleep on a beach in Cancun.
Everyone loves you Sherrone as the Michigan head coach when you win, less so when you lose. Go kick Wink in the ass to be better and find something workable on the offensive side of the ball. The Big Ten season awaits and will be here next week. Time to take a big leap forward.

Forgive me second time I mentioned it. But Harbaugh knew we needed a quarterback. why did he not get one out of Portal like a real man (not a Jesus freak), but no he pilfered the coaching staff and more less said (silently) "I am outa here". He finked Sherrone and us.. Even though I disagree with the NIL, Harbaugh should have done it but too self-centered. Well, I am going to pay 50 Hookers to carry my kid, then plop them on his porch so he can take care of them
I Hope Arkansas State doesn't steal our signs like Texas did. I'm headed to the game this weekend but it's not the usual excitement that I've experienced in the past. Maybe that'll change once I hit Pioneer parking lot. With a beer in my hand.
By the way, Harbaugh going to portal for a quarterback is not an original thought by me. It's from at least two prominent sports writers that said it was a glaring error in judgment (or deliberate). The deliberate part is from me!!
Does Sheridan have any kids that can play quarterback, this way we can complete the circle.

If Michigan comes out with the same stale offense play calling then you know Sherrone Moore and Kirk Campbell aren't up to the task and hope there's an affordable buyout in that new contract.
Yes, the AC Carter play was monumental. But if memory serves me correct the play before "the immaculate reception" A Michigan running back through the ball out of bounds, should have been disallowed (me thinks), time would have run out if he did not .... example of home cooking at its finest?
Too much posting on my part, but got the feeling this will not be decide until forth quarter. I was 100% behind Sherrone until I found out he had no head coaching in his resume. It's like being a teacher: some have it and some do not. That Penn State game and Ohio State game least year means nothing > Sherrone inherited a well-oiled machine and was just baby-sitting.
It made Fielding Yost smile down from football's Valhalla.
If they come out flat tomorrow like they did against Texas then It's what Dandy Don Meredith use to say on Monday Night Football, "Turn out the Lights the Party's over"
