This is the Holiday Season for college football recruiting. Wednesday is like Christmas in February with Signing day. Thursday comes the "hang over" for teams that didn't finish strong. There are a number of teams on the bubble, that could finish with a bang or a bust. Michigan rivals Ohio State and Notre Dame are included on that list. Where will the Wolverines finish?
They still have 3 four star safety prospects on their board. Will any of Michigan's 26 verbals jump ship? If you remember, Michigan had a very up and down signing day in 2009. Rich Rod and staff was able to secure signing day commitments from Denard Robinson and Je'Ron Stokes but lost out on two 4 star defensive line prospects who decided to go to other schools.
Michigan would love to land Parker, Dorsey, and Knight to finish the 2010 class. I expect they will land 2 out of the 3. I believe Parker will be Blue but it's still a toss up between Dorsey and Knight. Rashad by the way, might not wait until NSD before he announces. He could make his decision public today or Tuesday. He has sort of flipped a couple of times on when he wants to announce. It's between Rutgers and Michigan for Rashad.
Who might send their letter to the wrong school? The only public recruit still on the fence is Terry Talbott. Terry visited North Carolina a couple weeks ago and feels torn between the Wolverines and Tar Heels. His brother Terrance (9 months apart) on the other hand, is fully committed to the Wolverines and plans on sending his letter to Schembechler Hall on Wednesday morning. I'm betting there are a few interesting conversations going on at the Talbott home these days.
If Michigan can land 2 out of the 3 safeties, I expect them to have a top 10 recruiting class on Scouts and a top 15 class on Rivals and ESPN.
Stay close to BHB and I will be updating all the breaking news on and before Signing Day! Buckle up! It's going to be a fun ride.
