The Wolverines have been ranked in the top 25 all year and have played one of the toughest schedules in the country. They are currently 19-7 and ranked #17 in the country. There isn't a whiff of bubble talk because they are securely in the tournament.
This weekend Michigan will not only host OSU but ESPN's Game Day will also be on campus. I have two wishes for this weekend. #1 Beat Ohio State #2 honor Zack Novak. Zack has been the heartbeat of this Michigan program for 4 years. He has given everything he has every time his feet has touched the floor. Coach Beilein even mentioned on the radio this week, that he had to kick Zack out of the gym because he was working too hard and too long.
Zack has clearly lead this team this year and wants nothing but a win on Saturday and a chance to win a Big Ten regular season title. Zack is even helping the program after he is gone with the recruitment of 5 star center/power forward Mitch McGary coming to Ann Arbor next year.
On Saturday cheer for Michigan to beat Ohio State but also cheer for Zach Novak and all he has given to re-building this program the last 4 years. We only have a few more opportunities to enjoy his style of play and Saturday is the perfect night to give him a signature victory.
Go Blue!
- The new basketball PDC will be named after former Pistons owner William Davidson. Many don't know Mr. Davidson was the "richest" person in Michigan and was paying a percentage of Tommy Amaker's salary. He was a great guy and a Michigan Man.
- Michigan is almost a two touchdown underdog to Alabama next year. +13
