Michigan Thursday: Checks Out the Rivals 100 for 2013

The top lists for 2013 are starting to come out.   The interesting part of recruiting is the Michigan staff has been recruiting 2013 for a year with out these type of cheat sheets.  They have just been looking at talent and offering the athletes that best fit their profile.   So how have the coaches done so far?  Here is a list of the guys Michigan is recruiting on the top 100 list.

#3 Laremy Tunsil (OL)
#4 Kendall Fuller (DB)
#5 Su'a Cravens (DB)
#15 EJ Levenberry Jr. (LB)
#16 Shane Morris (QB) - verbal to Michigan
#17 Michael Hutchings (LB).
#18 Ty Issac (RB)
#22 Adam Breneman (TE)
#27 Ethan Pocic (OL)
#31 LaQuon Treadwell (WR)
#32 Leon McQuay III (DB)
#34 Jaylon Smith (LB)
#37 Dorian O'Daniel (LB)
#43 Henry Poggi (DL)
 #46 Chris Fox (OL)
#54 Patrick Kugler (OL)
#60 Kyle Bosch (OL)
#62 Peter Kalambayi (LB)
#64 Derrick Green (RB)
#77 Dymonte Thomas (DB) - verbal to Michigan
#96 Jake Butt (TE)

That's 21 players out of the Rivals's top 100.  I would say that is a pretty good job of evaluation by the Michigan coaches.   If your interested in where each player stands with their Michigan recruitment check out Tremendous site.

  • The Michigan basketball team blew out Nebraska last night in Lincoln.  It was nice to see Michigan play well on the road this year.   If Hardaway and Evan Smotrycz can find their way out of their shooting slump, this team is going to be hard to beat down the stretch.   Zach went over a 1000 points in his career as a Wolverine, last night as well.

  • One of John Beilein's strength is to find players that aren't being recruited very hard and just on the verge of rising up the rankings.  His latest find is Big Dog's son who went from basically a low level 3 star to now a borderline 5 star.  Check out his latest article on him here.
