Michigan Friday: Remaining Spots in 2013

Michigan has 18 verbal commitments to the 2013 class and most likely a ceiling of 24 spots in this class.    That leaves 6 or less spots.   That is not a lot of availability left on the nation's #1 class.   So what positions are the coaches targeting for the final spots?

1 RB maybe:  Ty Isaac headed to USC this week (BTW another 5 star RB verballed to USC on Thursday) so Michigan is targeting Derrick Green and Jordan Wilkins as options at RB.  They have 2 already commitment and another name could pop up but right now it's between Green and Wilkins.  If they both go to other schools, Michigan may elect not to take another RB.

1 WR:  This has Laquon Treadwell's name all over this one.  This was a guy who was on the verge committing to Michigan when he got his offer but waited and is now one of the top recruited WR's in the country.   He is trying to get to Ann Arbor soon for another visit.  If Treadwell goes to another school, I believe the Wolverine coaches would take someone else at this position.

2 DT's:  Michigan has two guys picked for these positions as well.   #1 is Henry Poggi who seems to be high on the Wolverines but doesn't let much out to the recruiting services and #2 is recent offer Maurice Hurst Jr. who is telling other recruits he will commit on his visit to Ann Arbor in the new few weeks when he gets it scheduled.

The rest of the spots will stay open for any high profile guys at any positions.   Like Safety Su'a Cravens or Safety Leon McQuay.  These are hail mary spots for kids that are expected to stay South or West but maybe picks the Wolverines over the schools they are expected to pick.
