Michigan Monday: UA Practice Notes on Future Wolverines

Since the disaster that was 2013 is now behind us, I thought I would share some positive news from the first practice of the Under Armour All American Game:

Tweets from Kyle Bogenschutz:

First time seeing #Michigan QB commit Wilton Speight live: impressed. Young man is giant but moves well & throws with some zip #UAAllAmerica

Got to see #Michigan OT commit Juwann Bushell-Beatty in fall, remain impressed w/ his physical play & potential to tone body #UAAllAmerica

#Michigan DT commit Bryan Mone is a BRICK. Beef is needed for Wolverines & he'll provide it along w/ quick twitch, relentless #UAAllAmerica

  • Today marks Black Monday for NFL coaches.  There could be up to 7 openings today in the NFL.

  • The latest vibe from Malik McDowell is that he is leading to MSU.

I really like what Shane Morris did Saturday night. His numbers weren't eye popping... but they weren't terrible...
I like what Shane DIDN'T do. He didn't try winning the game on every play. He didn't throw a bunch of careless passes that got picked off. He didn't take a bunch of sacks trying to extend the play. He didn't hold on to the ball too long.....
He did have a little too much zip on the ball on a lot of short routes (which seemed all that big al would let him throw) but that is something easily corrected by a QB coach and a few more games under his belt.
He did show that he can take off and gain yards with is feet, and isn't afraid to throw a stiffarm out there! He wasn't afraid to get out in front of his back and attempt to throw a block...

We REALLY, REALLY need to get some leadership on the sidelines, in the coaching staff....
