Michigan Tuesday: Names From The Past

Many of you I'm sure remember 5 star RB recruit from Orlando Dee Hart.  He was a recruiting causality of Rich Rod getting fired and Brady Hoke getting hired.   Even if Rich Rod would have stayed another year, there was clear signs in Dee's recruitment that he was probably going to follow his teammate to Alabama anyway.

Dee's football career took some sharp turns right after that decision.   Since he has been at Alabama he has torn 2 ACL's and never cracked the lineup due to injury and the plethora of other 5 star running backs on the roster.   Dee mostly had contributed on special teams with last year only getting 22 carries at RB for 78 yards.   He was a sophomore in eligibility last year.

Reports are now that Dee was not officially on the roster after this years bowl game.  Was Dee being punished or was he cut due to his minimal contribution?  We don't really know.   Then on Sunday, Dee was arrested for possession of marijuana and released on $1300 bond.  It's too bad this is the way his career has ended up and I hope he is able to get his degree and move forward in his life.

  • Seems Michigan got in on a top recruit early as current verbal commit Shaun Crawford had the second fastest SPAQ time at Nike's Ohio combine this weekend and already has earned an invite to the Opening.  It's only the third invite Nike has offered to this summers camp.  Shaun will be in town for Junior Day this weekend.

  • Ohio State Boosters just loves to produce items that breaks a few intellectual property rules.

There is a Michigan logo and an NFL logo in there and Notable is miss spelled.    If Marcus didn't redshirt he would have also been 3-1 vs. the Wolverines.    So this is a quality product for many reasons!   Marcus was not invited to the NFL Combine later this month.

  • Congrats to Charlie White and Meryl Davis for bringing home the Gold!
