Michigan Tuesday: News and Notes

  • With the signing of Dawkins, Michigan has just one more offer left which could go to Nevada transfer Cole Huff.   With McGary going pro Huff will now visit Ann Arbor and could get an offer during the visit.   If it doesn't work out with Huff, I expect the staff to "bank it" for next year.

  • DB commit Shawn Crawford has been invited to the Army All American Game

  • Remember DB Cullen Christian?  He was an RR recruit that left when Hoke came in and he followed RR's staff to Pitt.  As you know, the coaches stayed one year at Pitt until RR got his gig at Arizona.   Now Tony Gibson is the new DC at West Virginia and Cullen will play his graduate year there.   What a strange journey he has been on.

  • Local QB MI QB Alex Malzone worked out for Coach Nuss yesterday and the WOTS is that the session went very well.   Getting a Michigan QB offer for this class has been tough to come by, but it sounds like Alex might be inline for one after his workout.   I expect him to jump pretty quickly if offered from the Maize and Blue.

  • NC DE Darian Roseboro just spent a 4 day in A2.  It sounds like Darian consider Michigan is #1 school and should be on commit watch.
