Ty Isaac's Wavier Denied

Ty's NCAA waiver to play right away and not sit out a transfer year, has been denied by the NCAA.

Hoke said earlier this week that Michigan's "appeal" to the NCAA's denial was pending.
"The waiver got denied initially, and we've appealed it," Hoke confirmed Wednesday. "(We appealed) probably last week, mid week."

It sounds like the biggest hurdle was the 100 mile radius that NCAA dictates in approving these types of waivers.   Ty's mother under went a hearing loss surgery that will not allow her to fly, she of course can drive the 250 miles to Ann Arbor or take the train for games.

Michigan has plenty of running backs and it's better for the program if Ty sits out a redshirt year for depth reasons.   He will have 3 years to play in Ann Arbor.   They have appealed but I'm not holding my breath this will be over-turned.

I'm sure Ty understood the 100 mile rule when he committed to Michigan this summer.   So I bet he wasn't expecting the waiver to be approved.   (The offensive line should be better in a year as well!  :-)
