Michigan Thursday: Well, This Is Interesting

News on the recruiting trail has been a little light for awhile.   Then comes this:  #81 player in the nation in the 2021 class and former FSU commit, LB Brendan Jennings is committing on Friday.  His top schools he will be considering is Clemson, Miami, and Michigan.   Jennings is 6'3 225 and rated the 6th ILB in the country and clearly a 4 star recruit.

His lead recruiters from Ann Arbor are Don Brown and Brian Jean-Mary.  The good news is that the 24/7 CB's are trending hard to the Wolverines.   If he does commit, he will join the likes of Jaydon Hood, Tyler McLaurin, and Junior Colston. (Yes, please)  Jennings in from Jacksonville and could be Michigan's next commit from Florida, where clearly Brian Jean-Mary is doing a great job.

  • Interesting how Saban and Alabama's AD have tested positive but we haven't heard any players being positive

  • Florida - LSU has been re-scheduled

  • Atlanta Falcons have shut down their building today as well

Cute, but maybe I'm in the minority but I don't hate Nick Saban. Look he took the Bama job when they were garbage, and yes, Bama bag-men were leaving suitcases of money on recruits porches, and made them college football royalty. Perennial powerhouse. Much like Calipari with UoK basketball, I don't believe he has to cheat anymore. Saban has raised the Bama brand that elite recruits want to play there. Just like Dabo has done at Clemson and as much as it irks me, what's happening at OSU. Look, point blank, if you asked me would you risk a few years of shady recruiting to get to the status of Bama, Clemson, and OSU? Hell yeah, sign me up! Big brands just get a hand slap and get seasons/championships erased, but the memories the fans have from those championships last for a life time. Think Louisville fans care that the NCAA took away their NCAA championship? Nope, in their minds they won and that's all that matters. If not everyone plays by the rules, then you playing by the rules makes you a sucker!

In business I didn't put up with liars and thieves, and in my personal life I'm not going to put up with liars and thieves. Cheaters fall right in there with them.

“Playing by the rules” is the great excuse for “coach” Harbaugh.... this team has zero chance of something special, but the season should be fun none the less... everyone in coaching has lied and cheated in some way, and they always will... Michigan has certainly cheated before.... Bo had jerseys specially designed to tear apart when defenders would grab for Anthony Carter on the field.... the NCAA banned this practice the next year... Michigan has a long history of bending the rules... just like everyone else... Jim is to fucking stupid to cheat well enough not to get caught.... there is no “taking the next step” until we understand that you cannot bring a knife to a gun fight... I’m mean, Don Brown is “coaching” and these parents continue to send their sons to play for this asshole, because Michigan fools people with this “we are honorable” bullshit... The best players in the country that want to play football don’t want to hear that shit, it’s either compete with the big boys and get some titles... or hey come to Michigan, we have a big stadium, you will win nine games, beat MSU 3 out of 4 and you get to hear a really cool fight song, oh and I am Jim and if you lose I will cover for you with a emotionless and excuse filled post game presser that will leave you truly un inspired to change.... to see the difference between Jim and actually coaching, refer back to the first play of our bowl game against bama... Saban made “our best player” look like a fool... and proved the boy could not play at bama...
